Best sounding Replacement Exhaust

Ok seeing how my stock muffler is shot and am looking at a new exhaust system. What seams to be a good sounding mild tone exhaust system . So far i've watched the flomaster video and at 379 for complete kit , it is the top pick at the moment.

So not wanting to get into a flame war on which is the best one, just kinda wanna see what my options are?

Thanks

Rash

If you want mild tone, then I really wouldn't go with a flowmaster. They tend to be overly loud and annoying on F150's, IMO. Magnaflow is quiet when you need it, and loud when you want it.

Skip the kit. Even if you need new pipe, it will probably be cheaper for an exhaust shop to fab up a setup with new muffler. Then you can kind of say its custom. :thumb:

Im sure our definition of "mild" is a little different but my best suggestion would be to spend some time on youtube. Flowmaster has lots of options of mufflers offering all different sounds if you want a flowmaster.

After you decide

Or you could always try and find an 09+ stock take off... a shop could make it work easily....and you should be able to get one for less than 100 bucks..

I drive by Blackstock Ford sometimes, and they have a pile of them out back.... $40 ea.

Straight through performance, 2-3/4" piping with little sound....

Actually, they can be quite loud under load...(outside the vehicle)

Just a thought if your lookin' for a performer but don't want loud..

I have a Magnaflow on mine and it is a little to quiet for my taste. I tried with just no muffler but thats too loud. I think I am going to switch to a flowmaster. Don't get me wrong, the magnaflow muffler sounds nice but not beefy enough for me. I recommend flowmaster.

It seems like you guys think each company has only one muffler. They both have a pretty good variety of muffler for all different sounds. find out what size/model you have and step down a size or 2 if you want it to be a little more aggressive.

Once again youtube is the best place to find out what you want.

i have a flowmaster delta 50series, really agressive tone under accel and just a light growl when cruising on the outside but you can hear it from inside the cab

I have had several Magnaflow mufflers really like that flowmaster sound better. I understand there is different types from those brands but flowmaster series sounds better I think.

ive got a flowmaster 40 series on mine. its loud when you first get it done. but it always seems to not be loud enough because you get used to it.. but id say whatever you go with be mindful of your cab, it will resonate inside much more with a crew cab than an extended cab or even a regular cab.

I have true dual Magnaflow's and I really like them, if your looking for something louder go with Magnaflow magnapacks or Dynomax bullets
